An Indefinite Lover. by ~JenJen5000:iconJenJen5000:

Blinking away the showers of rain
But my eyes couldn’t catch your flighty silhouette.

Your spirit, ever insatiable, has had its fill of me
(You, ever quenchless, had your fill of me)
Bid you vanish behind elusive clouds.

I didn’t have to cry because
(I expected nothing more from an indefinite lover)
The ceiling tore itself open for me
And it was known what is was like to be truly drenched.

Ethereal skin never proved itself watertight
(Do you blink away droplets of water
As you breeze in and out of the flimsy film
That holds the heaving chambers of my heart together?)

I’ll bet you’re always cold.

The original is this:

I thought I saw your figure through the shower curtain
I pulled back the rubber wall
I'm not surprised that you weren't there
But it's another blow
And the shower water turns to tears
And somehow you have no idea.

I like the new one much better.

I like the new one better as well.

And wow, I really liked that. I think you should do more poetry deviations actually.

Thank you that means a lot.
